Whenever I travel to friend's places, I like to make GLO protein bites to leave in the freezer for everyone! Super easy, healthy, + adaptable! These healthy snack bars were made for Megan & Mike and they loved them!
Makes 16 approx. mini (but filling) pieces: 1 cup GLOPRO Sesame Protein Flour (you could also use coconut, oat, or almond flour instead) 1 cup clean protein powder (I used Athlete's Best) 1/3 cup melted coconut oil or melted ghee 1/2 cup natural liquid sweetener of choice (I prefer raw honey or maple syrup or coconut nectar) 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut (big or small flakes is fine) 1/3 tsp real cinnamon 1/3 tsp pure turmeric powder Pinch of sea salt You can easily mix this into a dough-like consistency in a big bowl with a fork! Or the easy and quicker way....process into a dough in a food processor. ;) Easy add-ons: (but you don't have to!) I just like to see what's available in the cupboards and add-on into the mix for extra nutrition..... - 1 tsp Maca powder - 1 tsp Lions Mane powder - 1/2 cup dried Golden Berries (or raisins, or chopped dates, or goji berries) - 1 tsp GLOPRO Immune Blend (or greens powder of choice)
Place dough-like mixture on saran wrap and mold into a compact rectangle. (like I did with this recipe). Freeze for 4 hours. When done cut into small bites (they are filling) and keep stored in freezer. Enjoy 2-3 pieces at a time for high protein, energy snacks! **You can also roll into balls. **OR place dough in silicone molds for small pieces. Enjoy the goodness! All-natural, no refined sugars, high protein, and delish! What's not to love?!
